Funeral Assistant

A Funeral Assistant coordinates and carries out funeral services. You’ll meet with families to organise details and may liaise with celebrants or clergy to arrange ceremonies. Funeral Assistants may get bodies ready for viewing and coordinate details such as floral arrangements and transport. You might also organise necessary paperwork such as burial certificates.

Funeral Assistants should have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to communicate well with families who are grieving. It’s important that you can understand their needs and follow instructions closely. Funeral Assistants must be organised and be able to handle several tasks at one time.
