Director of Photography

A Director of Photography is responsible for the overall look of a film or television production. You’ll lead the lighting and camera crews and make sure the production has the visual qualities the director is looking for. The Director of Photography decides what camera and lighting equipment will be used and may suggest other features such as lenses or filters.

A Director of Photography should be a strong leader and be able to communicate their vision to the production team. You’ll need to be creative and you may need to call on your problem solving skills during production. A Director of Photography should have excellent attention to detail and be able to remain focused during long days on set.
