Commercial Pilot

A Commercial Pilot flies aircraft for a range of purposes. You might fly passenger planes, conduct aerial tours or transport freight. Commercial Pilots often work with a crew of other pilots and flight attendants. You’ll conduct safety checks, communicate with air traffic control and fill in relevant documentation regarding your flight.

Commercial Pilots should have strong aviation skills and be able to remain calm during stressful situations. Situational awareness is important and you’ll need to remain focused for long periods of time. Commercial Pilots should be clear communicators and be able to adapt their skills when required. Depending on your role, you may have to work irregular hours and spend some time away from home.
