Childcare Director

A Childcare Director coordinates the daily activities at a childcare centre. You’ll supervise a team of staff and ensure a centre meets all compliance issues. Childcare Directors may organise educational programs and oversee administrative issues. You might be involved with hiring and training new staff, rostering and managing centre budgets.

Childcare Directors should have excellent leadership skills and be able to communicate well with staff, parents and children. You’ll need to be a good problem solver and be able to handle several tasks at one time. Childcare Directors should be organised and be able to carry out a range of administrative tasks.
