CCTV Operator

A CCTV Operator uses security footage to monitor the safety of an area or premises. You might be keeping an eye on patrons or facilities or you could be checking for suspicious activity. CCTV Operators might monitor live footage and call for security or emergency services to attend if necessary. You might also watch recorded footage after a security incident has occurred to gather further details on what happened.

CCTV Operators will spend a lot of time monitoring surveillance footage so you need to be able to focus for long periods. It’s important that you have sound judgement and have excellent situational awareness. CCTV Operators should have good attention to detail and be able to monitor several screens at one time.
