Bicycle Mechanic

A Bicycle Mechanic performs servicing and repairs on a range of bicycles. You might diagnose problem issues and replace parts or make necessary adjustments. A Bicycle Mechanic, or Cycle Mechanic or Bicycle Repair Technician, might liaise with customers and customise bikes to suit their needs. You might work in a retail bicycle workshop or for a cycling team.

Bicycle Mechanics should have strong technical skills and keen attention to detail. Observational abilities are important and you’ll need to be able to call on your problem solving skills. Bicycle Mechanics need to be good at customer service and should enjoy working as part of a team.
