Assistant Shipwright

An Assistant Shipwright helps with the construction and maintenance of ships and other marine vessels. You might build new vessels according to customer requirements or carry out repairs on existing vessels. Assistant Shipwrights work alongside qualified shipwrights and may use drawings and specifications during their work.

An Assistant Shipwright should be able to follow instructions and work well in a team. It’s important that you have excellent attention to detail and strong technical skills in this field. Assistant Shipwrights must be able to manage their time well and communicate with people from a range of backgrounds.
