The Certificate III in Maritime Operations (Master up to 24 metres Near Coastal) (MAR30918) is for marine transport professionals wanting to skipper vessels up to 24 metres long. It’s a nationally recognised qualification and graduates can apply for their ‘Master less than 24 metres near coastal’ licence with the Australian Maritime Safety Authority. The course is completed in a 6-week intensive and covers: shipboard safety and survival at sea, vessel abandonment, first aid, routine maintenance, slipping and dry-dock, navigation, seamanship operations.
